To wrap up an amazing Incubus weekend, Mike & I went to another free private concert at the Ed Sullivan Theatre last night~
We went early to make sure that we got our tickets, and then killed some time walking around Central Park. We stopped in at a bar for a quick drink and then it was time to go to the show!
When we got there it was two hours before showtime and there were already about 50 people ahead of us in line. Before we knew it the wait was over and we were inside! This time we were sitting up on the balcony, but we actually had a really good view of everything.
One of the benefits to sitting on the balcony was that Brandon saw me and recognized me! At first I thought it was just me, but Mike noticed it too - he was looking at me a lot all night! I guess he remembered me from being in the front row at the Apple Store show the other night. There's just something so cool about locking eyes with a performer as you're both singing the words of a song together. It made me really happy! At the end of the show, Ben smiled and waved at me too~
It was a really amazing show, even better than the other night. The acoustics at the Ed Sullivan Theatre are just awesome. The guys really brought their A-game, they rocked! Definitely the best concert I have ever been to. What's really cool too, is that the whole thing was recorded and streamed live on the internet & broadcasted in Times Square...so I can watch it all over again if I want! You can watch it here.
This whole weekend has really reaffirmed my love for Incubus. I think it's just so cool that they put on all of these free shows for the fans. I feel really lucky that I was able to win the contest & attend them, and make some new Incubus friends along the way!
I'm kinda sad that it's all over now, and that I won't be going to some other Incubus show again tomorrow night haha~ but! Their new album, "If Not Now, When?" comes out TODAY! I really can't wait to get my hands on it and listen to it for the first time. Then I get to listen to it for the rest of the summer until I see them again September 3rd at Jones Beach!
Thank you Incubus! I love you guys!!!

That is so cool that Brandon recognised you & waved! ♥ I think it really does say something about their love for their fans in doing all of this too & being so gracious~ I wish more bands/artists were like that.
ReplyDeleteYeah!! I really think it's awesome that they did all this for the fans, they're just the best!! I'm still on a total high from this weekend :)
DeleteThat sounds awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd just about drop dead if a star I looked up to made eye contact with me like that xD
It was the freaking coolest thing ever :)
DeleteThat's great that he waved at you! Definitly nice to hear that a band really does care about their fans.
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful blog! I will definitly return to read more of your posts and I wish you all the luck in the world with it!
All the best,
Voe.
