I started working a new job a month ago. This post is kind of delayed, hehe~
Towards the end of summer I got really fed up & finally reached my breaking point with my old job. I immediately started searching for something new, and I was lucky enough to find something after just a few weeks of searching.
The only catch was that the new job was putting me on a two-week trial period before they officially hired me...so I had to continue working my other job, on top of going to school full-time. For two weeks, I endured HELL.
The two weeks went by & I was over-worked, stressed, exhausted, and unhappy...but I still did not get the official word that I had been hired. So I continued working two jobs for another week.
Finally, at the end of the third week I had enough. Something happened at my old job that was just the final straw for me, and I quit right on the spot. The timing could not have been more perfect, because now I was free to work more hours at the new job and prove that I really belonged there.
Well I have been working this new job ever since, and I think it's safe to say that I have the job. Things have been going really well, and everyone really likes me.
The new job is in a medical office, a 45 minute drive from my house. It's really great because I'm actually studying medical office technology. There are plenty of opportunities for me to advance in this office once I graduate, so it's nice to know that I have at least one option.
I am so much happier now than I was a month ago. I feel like my life has really turned around. I'm working a lot more hours now (and also making a lot more money!!) but I don't even care, I hated my other job so much. No more being an underappreciated driver, I'm an office girl now! It feels so good to wear nice clothes & heels, like a real working woman~
Sorry for the TL;DR block of text. But I felt weird not mentioning my new job at all in my blog!
Thanks to all of my wonderful friends who cheered me on through all this! Couldn't have done it without your support~
