Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream

I've been using Missha's Perfect Cover BB Cream for 4 weeks now, and I want to share it with you all~

"Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream offers a novel skincare concept with B.B. (blemish balm) cream, which lightens skin tone by healing visible wrinkles and blemishes with excellent skin-cover ability, and prevents skin aging through effective whitening and anti-wrinkle properties."

It was recommended to me by Eden.  She raved to me about all of its great benefits and properties.  I was skeptical, but I jumped the gun and ordered it anyway.  It comes in two shades, #21 and #23.  I ordered the lighter one, #21.

It was $16 with free shipping from E-bay seller rubyruby76, and it arrived in 8 days.

I started using it right away!

The first thing I noticed was the scent.  When reading reviews, people were complaining about it but I think it's actually quite nice & fragrant.

#21 was a perfect match for my skin.  It was a challenge to apply at first, it takes a little more time & precision to apply compared to Covergirl's Liquid Foundation (which I would just slap & slather on all over in 2 minutes).  The BB Cream needs to be patted and worked into the skin.  It took some time for me to get used to it.  It's got pretty good coverage, just a little bit of the product goes a long way.  If you need more coverage in certain areas just add more, the color builds.

I really like how lightweight this BB cream is.  Especially on these crazy hot summer days, I like how nice & light this feels on my skin.  With my liquid foundation, I started to feel my skin getting oily as soon as I stepped outside into the summer heat.  It was the worst feeling, I felt like my face was frying and it would make me really self-conscious.  With the BB Cream, this doesn't happen at all.  I'm really thankful for this!

Even Mike noticed that I've been taking heat a lot better, and not getting so flustered anymore.  It's all because of my makeup!

After about 3-4 days of use I started to notice less overall redness in my face; around my nose, cheeks, and chin.  Less redness means less product needed to even out my skin tone, which is great!

As for healing acne & scars, I didn't really see any improvement.  It's hard to tell if it did anything for my acne at all...I've had a lot of sporadic breakouts the past month due to sweating a lot & having my period.  I took pictures weekly while using this product, and I can conclude that it hasn't faded my acne scars at all.

So let's look at the pro's and con's, shall we?

PROS:
SPF 42
Feels super lightweight & natural
A little goes a long way
Reduces redness
Skin feels smoother
Relatively cheap on E-bay

CONS:
Takes time to apply
Only comes in two shades
Doesn't fully conceal some pimples/spots, still need to use concealer
When used with a powder, it can get cakey - less is more

Overall I'm pretty happy with this product, it's definitely an upgrade from Covergirl's Liquid Foundation so I'll keep using it.

Since I started using this BB cream I've become really interested in taking better care of my skin.  I want to try some other BB creams and skincare products~

More Zipia

I made another Zipia.net order, with Eden~

I'm a little bit disappointed this time, I'll start with the bad:

When I first saw this shirt, I fell in love with the gorgeous graphic and I just had to have it!  In the course of collecting money and getting the order together, this shirt got sold out and came back for re-sale again.

That's all fine and dandy, but once I received the shirt I wasn't too happy with it.  The material is not what I was expecting at all, it's really cheap & see-through.  The graphic actually seems to have bled through to the back of the shirt a little.  The seams are sewn very awkward & messy.  It's also ridiculously long, so I can't wear it unless I tuck it in.

It makes me kinda sad, because I really liked this shirt...but oh well.

The rest of my items were fine, so onto the rest of my haul~

This jacket is so cute, the picture doesn't do it justice!  I love the way it fits, and it's really lightweight too~

A pair of black denim shorts~ I really like Zipia's shorts, they fit me really well and they're so flattering!

A pair of white Dr. Marten replica boots~ I can't wait to wear these, I hope I can keep them clean!

Sexy black ankle boots!

I threw in some cute accessories too, to bring our total up to $300.

I think this is my last Zipia order for a while...I like the clothes, but I really hate that they have a minimum order requirement.  In the time that it takes to collect money and get everything together for a group order, the items I really want get sold out.  It's so disheartening.

I'll happily throw in an item or two if my friends need help filling an order but I'm just not going to go out of my way for it anymore~

Skating Long Beach Boardwalk

I've been going skateboarding with Mike every day~

longboard girl comet fsm

I haven't stepped on a board in almost a year, but the other day I got on Mike's Comet FSM (one of the ugliest of all his boards...) and it was great!  It was so easy to ride and felt really good.  I think the FSM is my favorite board right now, despite its ugliness.

Yesterday I went with Mike to Long Beach to take some pictures for a photo contest.  We woke up super early so that we could get there for the sunrise.  Here are some of the better ones~

I feel like I look kinda lame in these photos, it looks like I'm just standing on the board but I'm actually moving!  I'm just a beginner, so I can't do anything cool yet...

Here's a few I took of Mike~

I wanna get better at skateboarding!

I went to Roosevelt Field Mall with Mike yesterday~ He bought me this funny T-shirt by Enjoi at Zumiez!

So many kitties!

I have to stop buying cat stuffs.  I'm becoming a cat lady and I don't even have one yet!

They're just so cute, I love them!

Narcissus

I've been really into the current pink lips trend lately~

Well, okay - not as much as my favorite nude lips trend, but I ran out of my nude lipstick and I haven't been able to find a new one.  So pink lips it is!  Natural, naked lips are a big NO-NO.

A while ago, Cherryculture.com was having a 25% off sale on all NYX cosmetics.  I took the opportunity to stock up on some of my tried & true favorites like NYX's blush, concealer, and eyeliners...as well as try out some new lipsticks!

I ordered Frosted Beige, Iced Honey (I thought one of these two might be a good replacement for my favorite, Avon's Sheer Naturale, but they weren't even close), Jupiter, Flower, and Narcissus.

I've learned my lesson about buying lipsticks online without trying them first, because I really didn't like most of them.  But at $1 a pop, it wasn't that big of a deal.

However, Narcissus ended up being kinda nice when paired with my Smashbox lip gloss in Pout!

Eyes:
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
L'Oreal Paris Eyeshadow in Frosted Icing
Avon Holiday Eyeshadow Palette
NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Strawberry Milk
NYX Eyeliner Pencil in White
Avon Professional Kohl Eyeliner in Black
Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara in Very Black

Face:
Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream in #21
Bare Minerals Mineral Veil
NYX Concealer Stick in Porcelene
NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Boho Chic

Lips:
NYX Lipstick in Narcissus
Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in Pout

The picture doesn't even do it justice, the color is so much brighter in person.  I'm just not sure what kind of eye makeup to pair with bright pink lips...I tried to keep it pale & simple.  Any suggestions?

By the way, if you're wondering how I always find out about great sales like this one, it's because I follow my favorite shops and brands on Twitter!  It's an awesome way to find out about sales, and get some good discounts!

From now on I'll be sure to retweet any sales or discounts to my Twitter followers, so if you're not following me already
YOU SHOULD!

I Love Summer

Last night I went to Point Lookout with Mike~ the sun was already going down and it was pretty cold, but we had fun & took some pictures!

Mike is pretty camera-shy, but here's a funny one of him taking flight:

I love the beach!
